Eventually I began piano
lessons, which I took for about 10 years. Over these years I worked for
music departments at the schools I was attending, accompanying voice
students during their lessons. I also began playing for church
services and weddings during these early years.
I attended Walla Walla College where I studied and graduated with a degree in Theology and Music.
After college, I served for several years as a piano/voice/choir
teacher at a private junior academy in the San Francisco bay area.
After a few years I began two and a half years of working on a Masters degree from California State University.
I moved up to the Seattle area in 1989 where I started a private
business going home to home teaching the piano to about 60 students per
week. I would also perform solo concerts in churches on the weekends.
Most recently in 2008, I moved to Palm Springs CA. where I
presently have 35 piano students per week, entertain for private
parties or country club dinners and also serve as a Minister of Music
for a local church here in the valley.
So, for the last 28 years, entertaining and teaching music has not
only become a great vocation, but continues to add richness and joy to
my life as I continue to mold and prepare the next generation of
musicians for the future.
